Freddy Fazbear Design Ranking / Freddy Fazbear FNaF 1 SPEED-ART

Hey Jack! It’s been a minute and I'm back, and with me another Speed-Art, this one of ol' Freddy Fazbear. Freddy has changed a lot over the years, and since I just released his animation covering his Evolution a little while back I wanted to go through all his main designs from worst to first! This will not include variants like Golden and Shadow Freddy, as well as Fredbear, but will include some of the other variants which are more like main characters in their respective games or DLCs. I’ll also simplify things and focus on the main design of the characters and less on slight redesigns like the ones featured in Help Wanted or Special Delivery.

15. Pizzeria Simulator – Rockstar Freddy

In last is Rockstar Freddy, he’s definitely a swing, but personally for me I like my Freddys to have a little bit of grit or a look to them where they look a little off, and unfortunately Rockstar is a little too clean cut and not scary enough, I do like the purple accessories though.

14. Pizzeria Simulator – Lefty

Next up is Lefty, he’s basically a repaint of Rockstar but left handed, he also has a larger nose which I somehow missed when looking at my reference for the animation. None-the-less all the same complaints I had for the previous Freddy apply, but he’s a little higher for the creative design.

13. Security Breach – Glamrock Freddy

In 13th is Glamrock Freddy, his design is a nice throwback to 70s rockers, and I’m a big fan of David Bowie so this should be a win, but unfortunately it’s again too clean and not scary enough, I know this Freddy is mostly a good guy, but it’s just not my cup of tea.

12. Security Breach – Tangle

12th goes to Tangle which is probably the most scary Freddy yet on this list, but it’s a little too messy, I know it’s supposed to be a whole bunch of animatronics together but a Freddy later on this list does that idea a little better I think.

11. Special Delivery – Freddy Frostbear

Freddy Frostbear takes 11th, this is probably the most interesting Freddy especially since this isn’t a skin but his own character, although he hasn’t had a chance to shine I feel so I can’t put him too high, I do like the wintery feel to him though.

10. FNaF Sister Location – Funtime Freddy

Coming into the top 10 is Funtime Freddy, another clean and friendly looking Freddy, but I do like the unique colours and the faceplate opening is a nice touch which is why it’s higher than some of the previous Freddys.

9. Pizzeria Simulator – Molten Freddy

Molten Freddy takes 9th place, this design I think works a little better than Tangle because it’s more streamlined and the Freddy elements are easier to see. Although it’s still a little too messy.

8. FNaF 2 – Toy Freddy

Toy Freddy comes in at number 8. This is probably the friendliest design to make it this far, and it gets points for being the first to go against the grain and make a design that is completely out of the box, but I can only put it so high. I do like how it’s eyes sometimes go black which makes him look quite soul-less.

7. Security Breach – Glamrock Prototype

In 7th is the Glamrock prototype, which is basically a craggy headless Glamrock Freddy, bringing the horror back into the character and this is a fun designs with a lot going for it. I especially like the more feral looking claws.

6. FNaF 2 – Withered Freddy

Withered Freddy lands in 6th, this one gets points for being the first design to be a broken down version of Freddy, I like how detailed it is and all the extra teeth make it seem super otherworldy.

5. Help Wanted – Dreadbear

I love me some Frankenstein so a Freddy Fazbear with a Frankenstein twist is a great sight to see, and that’s why Dreadbear lands in 5th. The colouring is a perfect green and it works great as his own spooky character.

4. FNaF 3 – Phantom Freddy

Phantom Freddy takes 4th, he’s especially cool looking, taking what made withered scary and doubling down by making him more ghostly.

3. FNaF 4 – Nightmare Freddy

Nightmare Freddy comes into the top 3. This is a hulking beast that takes the horror up a whole ‘nother level. The added Freddles on his body are a nice creepy touch and it helps that this game is actually pretty good at scaring.

2. FNaF 1 – Freddy Fazbear

In second is the original Freddy Fazbear from the first game, the design that started it all and it is perfectly scary but somewhat approachable as though it would actually exist, like his Chuck-E-Cheese real-life counterpart. This one is so iconic it helped launch the FNaF franchise into stardom.

1. FNaF Movie – Freddy Fazbear

But coming in first is the movie design which perfectly captures what made the original game design work, adding a plumper look and a more approachable appearance, but keeping what makes Freddy Fazbear scary. I also like how the eyes glow when under the mind control or being evil. The sound effects also add a lot and I just think the Jim Henson company knocked it out of the park with the animatronics here.

So that is my ranking of the Freddy Fazbear designs, well most of them, feel free to leave your own ranking below or tell me what your favourite or least favourite is, and if you haven't seen it check out the newest videos on Tell It Animated going through Freddy Fazbears’ Evolution and I also put out a Willy Wonka Evolution video, and until next time, I've been Aaron, and I'll tell you something later!
